Eurotech Automotive (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and our workshops in Albion, Queensland and Artarmon, New South Wales. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, vehicle details (such as make, model and registration), the service you are asking about, and anything you write to us through our booking forms, by phone, or by WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically. Pages you view on this site, device and browser type, approximate location, the website or advertisement that referred you, and advertising identifiers described below.
Cookies and advertising identifiers
This website uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager — to measure how the website is used.
- Google Ads — to understand which advertisements lead to bookings, using click identifiers such as
gclid, gbraidandwbraid. - Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API — to understand which Facebook and Instagram advertisements lead to bookings, using identifiers such as
fbclid,_fbpand_fbc.
These identifiers allow us to see that a booking came from a particular advertisement. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how parts of this site work.
Measurement carried out on our server
Some measurement happens on our server rather than in your browser. When you submit a booking form, we send the booking event, together with a securely hashed version of your email address and phone number, to Google and Meta so that they can confirm the booking came from one of our advertisements. Hashing converts the value into an irreversible code; your email address and phone number are not sent in readable form for this purpose.
Phone calls
Calls placed from our Google advertisements may use a call forwarding number. Google reports to us the date, time, duration and area code of those calls. Calls to our workshops may be noted in your service record.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and book your vehicle in.
- To carry out, document and invoice the work.
- To keep the service history of your vehicle.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with the service providers that help us run the business: our workshop management system, website hosting and form providers, analytics and advertising platforms (including Google and Meta), and messaging providers. Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising audiences
We may provide advertising platforms with a customer list in hashed (irreversible) form so that we can show advertisements to people with similar interests, or avoid showing advertisements to existing customers. The platform cannot recover your email address or phone number from the hashed values. If you would prefer not to be included, contact us and we will remove you.
Security and how long we keep it
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. We keep service and invoice records for as long as we need them to service your vehicle and to meet our legal obligations, and we destroy or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
